Perfect for Parents, Travelers, Sports Enthusiasts, or Anyone Who Wants to Ensure the Best Medical Care In Case of Emergency
The ICEBlueButton app allows anyone to easily create an ICE (In Case of Emergency) record on their smartphone. Unlike other ICE apps, ICEBlueButton generates a QR code that can be saved on a smartphone lock screen or printed on stickers that can be applied to bike helmets, skateboards or backpacks; or on magnets that can be placed on the fridge of an elderly person’s home.
EMTs or Good Samaritans who happen upon on emergency situation can read the QR code with any commercially available scanning app – and immediately access the patient's ICE record with their emergency contact, and useful medical information. In addition, when scanned, the app can send an email alert to emergency contacts, letting them know when and where the app was scanned.
ICEBlueButton is the latest offering from Humetrix, the developers of award-winning medical apps that help consumers become more informed and active participants in their own healthcare. For more information, visit our website at www.humetrix.com.
Many Americans today have access to their health records via Blue Button – and don’t even know it. For those that do, ICEBlueButton is even easier to use, as you can simple populate the app with data from your electronic Blue Button health records.
Blue Button is a Federal initiative originally launched in 2010 that has since expanded nationwide to both public and private health record data holders. The goal of the Blue Button Initiative is to make it easy for consumers to access their health records and share them with their healthcare providers, when needed. Look for the Blue Button icon to download your records from your pharmacy, health plan, or health care provider.
